Adoption take 3 (or 4?)

Well, it's pretty safe to say that adopting a baby hasn't been the most successful thing for us. It has been a hard, hard road. The last match obviously didn't work out for us and it was absolutely devastating. The birthmom just dropped all contact with our facilitator and who knows what happened to her or her baby. So we took a break, which was very much needed. Then our facilitator called last week and had a birthmom that had previously been matched and for whatever reason it didn't work out. It is a baby girl and she is due July 27th. So after a lot of prayer, we once again are going to take the leap of faith. Everyone please, please pray that this works out for us. It's hard to get excited after everything we've been through.

I understand completely! This is a long hard road that we have no control over! We had a baby boy that was scheduled to come home to us May 3 & the birthmom changed her mind. It was so devastating. So we are waitng to be matched again. We have had many unsuccessful matches before we adopted Daniel. We finally gave up and went with foster adoption & that's when we were matched with Daniel when he was 18 months. He is turning 3 this Saturday. But we are on the saddle again & hoping for a baby. So I will pray this match works out for you guys. I know it's hard to get excited, but we have to try right. I am on this journey with you. Good Luck and keep the faith. You will be parents.

God Bless
Ali

We most certainly will be keeping you in our thoughts and wishing for the best. I'm sorry this has been such a long, difficult journey for you. The end result will be well worth it though. :) Just hang in there.
